Featured in Sydney in March

The global reach of Fashion Exposed & preview is unique in Australia: the country’s only fashion fair that is comprehensively international. Its scope is reflected through exhibitors, buyers, agents and Guest Country showcases – namely, Hong Kong for March 2009.

The fair’s international offerings have been warmly welcomed by Australasian buyers eager for distinctive collections from abroad. They have also won fresh markets for a raft of international designers and fashion houses, and been given extensive media coverage.

Now a permanent feature within the event, the popular International Designer Showcase this season presented four of Hong Kong’s leading young designers.  Like the French before them, this directional group of designers eagerly presented collections to Australian buyers for the first time with a view to becoming regulars on the Australian fashion scene.  Click here to see the  the Hong Kong designers on the Runway.

Another first at FASHION EXPOSED was the Australian launch of William Rast, the label from international superstar Justin Timberlake. A celebrity favourite, William Rast jeans have been spotted on the who’s who of Hollywood from Jessica Biel to Cameron Diaz and their Australian launch was a huge hit and embraced by Channel 9, 10, Skynews and front page of the MX.  See the celebrity denim on the Runway here.
