Leather, Bags & Accessories (LBA) was for the first time co-located with Fashion Exposed + preview in Sydney, March 2008.
Offering a fabulous array of Australian and overseas labels, LBA – like adjacent precinct, preview LBA - reflects powerful industry demand for the fashion categories that have become a multi-billion-dollar international sector in recent years.
Visitors to the chic LBA fair found collections for every section of the market, from trendy high street to intimate boutique, in categories that included handbags, luggage, belts, hats and jewellery.
LBA was a showcase for some of Australia’s most gifted young designers including Sydney’s Cheri Uppal and Theresa Nguyen - the duo behind new jewellery and homewares label, Lola & Bailey - who won the Best Accessory award at debut in September 2007, the competition recognising Australia and New Zealand’s emerging design talent.
Among other fresh, exciting labels at the March 2008 LBA were Sensi, Frou Frou, Dee Limited and Mingk. Adding rich variety were the latest ranges from numerous established names including Decorada, Clic Products, Samosonite, Milleni, Jendi, Annucci Leather.
LBA and preview LBA will again be co-located with Fashion Exposed + preview in Melbourne, September 2008, further developing the depth and quality of labels available to this exciting market segment.
