Cutting edge style stitched up
New Zealand brands have always had a towering reputation for their integrity and innovation and Auckland based label Stitch Ministry is no exception.Founded by designer Kylee Davis, the Stitch Ministry business is based on high fashion knitwear complemented by edgy tailoring that brings elegance and intelligent, creative style to independent minded women.
Davis, who launched renowned label Insidious Fix at the tender age of 21, developed a passion for design at just five years old, when she began crafting her own bikinis, and hasn’t looked back since. Having launched Stitch Ministry four years ago, the label has developed a cult following for unique knitwear made from high quality yarns, as well as exclusive silk chiffon prints developed each season in collaboration with local New Zealand artists. Stitch Ministry’s diffusion range, Stitch Vitals, is another string to Davis’ bow, comprising a line of affordable basics designed to stand alone as well as complement the main Stitch Ministry range. Stitch Ministry also has its own fragrance, dubbed ‘If You Love Me’.
The directional, globally focussed Stitch Ministry brand has released eight highly successful collections since it first stepped onto Auckland’s unique fashion scene and is now stocked in leading edge, independent fashion boutiques and department stores across the world.
Stitch Ministry will showcase its ranges in the Designer Womenswear section of Fashion Exposed from 29-31 August at Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
